Pink Cloud | CMYK Screen Print

A series of weather based prints as I find my mood is so influenced by what the weather is doing each day, I long for bright sunny days, blue sky and fluffy clouds. In the darker winter months I had the idea that I would like to produce a set of prints to almost be able to frame a slice of Summer Sunshine on your walls a reminder for the more drizzly grey days. This series of weather prints is a mix of photographs I have taken of clouds and sunshine and a few I have played with in photoshop to add silly eyes. A playful collection and reminder of Summer days and spotting shapes in the clouds.

This Pink Cloud, is still hand screen printed (by me) but with a slightly different technique to my usual style, CMYK. Still layering up the colours, its 4 layers (so 4 screens, 4 colours) in total bit to get the pink I have played with different coloured blue and pink inks for a more magical result. Each spot is printed at a slightly different angle on the page to build up the image.

Close up you can really see the 4 colours in there almost pop arty form but up on the wall these clouds really pop and the image as a whole takes shape. A fun mini print.
